The game is played on a 4×4 grid. You start with just two tiles (usually a 2 or a 4).
Win & Lose: You win if you manage to create a tile with the number 2048. The game ends when the grid is full and no more legal moves can be made.
Slide: Move all tiles simultaneously in one of four directions: Up, Down, Left, or Right.
Merge: When two tiles with the same number collide, they merge into one tile with their total sum (two 2s become a 4, two 8s become a 16, and so on).
